An emulsion of silicone oil in water. Due to its good release properties, excellent water repellency and high temperature resistance, it has numerous applications in the rubber and plastics industry, foundries, as well as in the textile, food and cosmetics industries. It is used as a release agent and lubricant for plastics such as thermosets and thermoplastics, e.g. in injection molding. Also proven in metal die casting and Croning processes. Textile fibers can be impregnated or their sliding properties improved. In the printing and paper industry, sliding surfaces can be treated, for example, using the Clupak process.
